Port of Rotterdam donates residual value of old hardware to 6 charities

Port of Rotterdam is donating a total of 15,000 euros to six different charities after selling old hardware such as laptops, printers and scanners. The charities were chosen by employees who were allowed to vote via a poll: Stichting Kinder Komputer Wereld; Vogelklas Karel Schot; Stichting Jarige Job; Stichting A Seal; Stichting Vaarkracht and JINC Rotterdam.


With this donation, the Port of Rotterdam supports various initiatives that work towards a better living environment for people and animals and to offer children a better future. It concerns depreciated hardware that the company wants to dispose of/process in a sustainable way. In the 2nd half of 2022, another part of the old HbR hardware will be disposed of. This too will be done through the Foundation so that the proceeds will again go to charity.
