Nieuwegein, 6 January 2026 – For many elderly people, Christmas is not a celebration. Menzis is helping Nationaal Ouderenfonds to change that.

Menzis has donated a sum of money to the Nationaal Ouderenfonds. The donation was made possible by giving Menzis's decommissioned equipment a second life through ITdonations and donating the proceeds to Nationaal Ouderenfonds. With this contribution, elderly people in Arnhem, Enschede and Groningen enjoyed a cosy Christmas dinner together. Nationaal Ouderenfonds organises these dinners every year throughout the country to combat loneliness.

As a partner of Nationaal Ouderenfonds, Menzis is delighted to be able to support the foundation in this special way. Nicole Pijnenburg, IT director at Menzis: ‘With this contribution, we hope to give elderly people a wonderful evening, during which they can enjoy each other's company, a delicious dinner and a sense of togetherness.’

Menzis has been working with ITdonations for a number of years. Sandra Mulder of ITdonations: ‘Thanks to Menzis, old hardware is being given a new purpose. That's a wonderful initiative that we are proud to contribute to.’
